This is a utility brush for all surfaces: tables, floors, workbenches, countertops, etc. The medium-soft horsehair collects small particles easily, while providing enough stiffness to hold up for long-term use.
It was inspired by the drafting brushes I used during my architectural training. These flat brushes are made to lift fine graphite dust and eraser rubbings off large-format pencil drawings. The head of each brush is textured by hand with a small carving gouge to create a surface that ripples with light and shadow.
Hand made and finished in Portland with either walnut, white oak, or ash. Each sweeping head contains 13 individually wrapped bundles of horse hair.
