This broom is a full length floor-sweeper. It's made from western red cedar, a historically and culturally significant species in the pacific northwest. When made from this wood, the floor broom has a wonderful lightness to it, which makes even the longest sweeping task feel brief.
The round handle includes a textured, square-edged section, which I find grips well when using the broom with one hand, and sweeping debris into a dust pan.
Hand made and finished in Portland. Each sweeping head contains 21 individually wrapped bundles of tampico, which is a stiff, yet supple natural sweeping fiber.
